WOLF CREEK NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY - HIKING TRAILS

The Fish Hatchery not only has a wonderful, indoor education center housing large scale aquariums and a
walk thru Kentucky cave & exhibits they also have interactive hiking trails! The Whispering Pines hiking trail
is a .5 mile trail that is very gentle and connects to the Nature Explorer Hiking Trail. The Nature Explorer
hiking trail is .75 miles and passes through a variety of ecosystems, winding around & back to the education
center. Native species and animals are common along the trail.
HATCHERY CREEK TROUT STREAM – HIKING & WATER TRAIL

A one of a kind trout stream that flows down a valley into the Cumberland River, allowing trout to move
between the river and stream. This exceptional stream is home to rainbow, brown and brook trout. Hiking
Trails can be found along the trout stream all the way to the Cumberland River.
BLUE WATER TRAIL: THE CUMBERLAND RIVER TAILWATER

Beginning at the base of Wolf Creek Dam, the first 16 miles of the river to Winfrey’s Ferry is a great place
for canoeists, kayakers, and owners of small jon boats to float and fish. A few mildly challenging shoals exist
in this stretch, perfect water for beginning canoeists and kayakers to hone their skills. Trophy brown trout
swim in the Cumberland River, as do bountiful numbers of rainbow. The river is also home to walleye,

TRAIL RIDES – HIDDEN TRANQUILITY RANCH

Geocaching is the high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers
equipped with GPS or Smart Phone devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers called
“Geocaches” outdoors, and then share your experience online. Participants navigate to a specific set of
GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the Geocache container hidden at that location. Jamestown &
