The Art Gallery showcases local history and industry, traveling exhibits from other museums, presentations by visiting artists, and shows by members of the Cherokee Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA). CAVA is an organization of over 50 artists, craftsmen and volunteers from Cherokee County. CAVA offers art classes for children and adults, supports special events sponsored by the City of Gaffney, and promotes appreciation and understanding of the visual arts. Gaffney Art Gallery exhibits are free to the public. Hours of operation are seasonal. Standard time: weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Daylight Savings Time: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. year round. The museum has hosted special exhibits such as the Corridor of Shame; the Artful Bra Project; Pirates, Privateers and Buccaneers. The museum houses permanent exhibits on Native Americans, the American Revolution, Moonshiners, and Geology.
