Huntingburg Historic Fourth Street Shopping District US 231 & 4th St., Huntingburg; 812.683.5699 Listed on the National Register of Historic Place, this historic business district, once destroyed by a fire in 1889, has been lovingly restored to a charming Victorian downtown, housing more than two dozen locally owned antique and specialty shops and unique eateries. The walking tour takes you back to the 1800s and early 1900s, a time when most of the two-story Italianate and late Victorian commercial buildings along were constructed. Original advertisements from the film still remain along the outfield fence. The Stadium also starred in the HBO movie, “Soul of the Game”and is home to the Dubois County Bombers collegiate baseball team, which entertains hundreds of fans June and July each year.
