Huntingburg Old Town Hall 309 N. Geiger St., Huntingburg; 812.683.2994 This 1887 Italianate structure features authentic Victorian lighting, elongated windows, 14-inch brick walls and the original tin ceiling. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this building once served as a fire station and jail, and later as the focal point for the town’s social, cultural and political events through the 1930s. After several decades, the building was renovated and, in full use today, now stands as a symbol of community pride. The building has since been refurbished and now serves as a meeting house for civic events and organizations. The main floor features the Ireland Historical Chapel, which may be used for weddings as requested, while the basement highlights the “Walls of History”, a 1,000-picture and fact collection covering the interior. 5
