Football & Cheerleading Clearwater Junior Tornadoes (ages 4-15) The Clearwater Junior Tornadoes is a non-profit organization that benefits youth by training them in both football and cheerleading. Their mission is to train youth both mentally and physically and to inspire them with a sense of competitiveness and fair play. The program teaches children the fundamentals of cheerleading and football, as well as good sportsmanship and helps build self-confidence. The mission of the Greenwood Panthers is to serve the community and provide activities, where parents/guardians may be confident their children will receive safe physical care, emotional security, mental stimulation, moral values and loving discipline. Participants will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, offense, defense and game rules. They have produced numerous championship teams at the state, regional and national levels of competition. The season runs August through June. Courts are located at Northeast Coachman Park, 1120 Old Coachman Road, and Cliff Stephens Park, 901 Fairwood Ave. The 18-hole courses include catch baskets and concrete tee pads. The Clearwater Lawn Bowls Club gives new members a one-month free membership and equipment usage. A personal coach will be assigned to teach the game basics.
