61 steps STITCHING VOTIVE DESIGNS m n BACK OF HOOP Remove your hoop from the embroidery machine and flip it over to the back side. Using a seam ripper, carefully create a small hole in the stabilizer inside the marking stitches. Then, use sharp scissors to remove the rest of the stabilizer inside the marking stitches. Heirloom Christmas | 2017 Q3 Workshop The next machine step will be the tack down stitch for the organza. Trim away all the excess organza from around the tack down stitches. Note: trim organza using 1/8” to eliminate pulling or ripping of organza fabric during embroidery steps of the design. o p The back side of your design should look like this once the stabilizer is removed from the marking stitches. q r Using a rotary cutter and ruler, trim the block using a 1/2” seam allowance around all four sides. Flip your embroidery hoop right side up and place back into your embroidery machine. Finish stitching the remaining embroidery steps of the design. The finished block design should like something like this when complete.
