The pine hutch in the corner holds special Jugtown pottery as does the lazy Susan in the center of the table. The guest book records the names of other friends with Squire Shaw overlooking our meeting from his prominent place on the wall where his framed portrait greets newcomers. Today Sara, Marilyn, and Milton join me around the table as the stories speak of the pottery, the pine and the people who call Moore County home. From the corner of Morganton and Broad, we take a step back in time at the Shaw House along with the Garner House and Sanders Cabin. Preserved under the loving care of the Moore County Historical Association (MCHA), these local landmarks continue to call us home. Family brought Sara Lindau to the area.
