LET’S DO THIS! That’s John with City of Tybee’s Water and Sewer Department. Thanks for sending this in and your support! Check out the Davis Produce stand at the Tybee Island Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market. The market is held at the Tybee Lighthouse Mondays 4-7 p.m. Reusable bags available at the market. Purchase and eat locally! SCAD hosted the Sand Arts Festival 2017 on Tybee’s South beach. This is becoming tradition for my dad and me. I found a seahorse! Funny to those who know me. We got everything we needed to kick off summer this Memorial Day Weekend at Tybee Market IGA. Thanks Abby! Nice to see this team, Todd, Rachel, Bobby and Elizabeth from the Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion taking a break together at the Wind Rose Café. We all dug into Nick’s enticing salsa at Benny’s Tybee Tavern. I’ve never had a salsa like that! And he didn’t mind sharing the recipe: jalapeno, mango, avocado, strawberry papaya, onion, cilantro and lime juice. I’m gonna make it! Struggled with the photo shoot at first, but Doug, Kimberly and Tonya made this gem happen! Nice to meet you Tonya! Subway is back! Addie likes working at Subway and living on Tybee. She may try to work during the coming school year. She’ll be a junior at Savannah Arts Academy. Meet my coworkers Cierra and Julianne at Desoto Beach Hotel. They’re both amazing! The way they work and communicate is beyond beautiful. Cierra is deaf, works with us, drives for Uber and goes to nursing school at Savannah Tech! Thanks so much, Sarah, for taking the time to introduce me to Zoe at the Burton 4-H Center! Zoe was rescued 5 years ago and in September she will be released back to the wild! To assist them reach their goal of $5000 donate online at www.georgia4hfoundation.org/BBMSDonate. htm. Select Burton 4-H Center: Zoe’s Underwater Adventure. There are plastic bag recycling receptacles at the Tybee Market IGA! They’re right at the entrance. By Hilary Junewicz
