Martin Marietta is committed to providing a professional work environment for its employees that is free of physical, psychological and verbal harassment. In connection with employment opportunities, the Company will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other protected status under applicable law. Martin Marietta HR Policy 3.3 covers Protection Against Harassment. Among the behaviors or actions prohibited in our workplace are: �� Profanity, offensive language, name calling, or name or labels that another person can reasonably be expected to find offensive. �� Racial slurs, ethnic jokes or comments that demean a race, ethnic group, cultural background or other personal characteristics. �� Explicit sexual proposition. �� Sexually suggestive, obscene or lewd comments; sexual or lewd jokes, wolfwhistling or catcalls. �� Asking or telling about sexual fantasies, preference or history. Any employee who believes that he or she has been harassed is strongly encouraged to confront the person responsible for the harassment and request that such conduct cease. An employee who believes that he/she has been harassed, discriminated against, or retaliated against should promptly report the facts of the incident(s) to his or her supervisor and/or to the Human Resources Department. Employees may report complaints against their supervisors directly to Human Resources. All complaints will be investigated promptly by Human Resources, and appropriate actions/disciplinary measures, up to and including termination, will be taken. Confidentiality will be protected to the extent possible. Retaliation against any employee for filing a complaint covered under this policy and operating instruction, or for assisting in a complaint investigation, is prohibited. All employees will ensure compliance with HR 3.3 while on company business and/or representing the company.
