ASSEMBLING YOUR BAG A B C D Place Rows 1 and 2, right sides together, lining up the placement stitches along the edge to be joined. Use pins to secure the seam. Sew the blocks together, just barely inside the placement stitches. Remove the pins as you go. E F With right sides facing each other, stitch both pieces together just inside the placement stitch. Your stitching should follow the outside perimeter placement stitches. Be sure to leave one of the two long edges open with a 4” gap as indicated by the arrows (to turn the bag through). Repeat until all four rows are completed. Butterfly the seams open, and then arrange the row pieces back into the pattern. Note which blocks within the rows, as indicated by the pink arrows, are paired together! Repeat until all the rows are joined, and butterfly the seams again. Now place the patchwork fabric piece on top of the liner fabric. Cut the liner fabric to match the patchwork piece. Place the two Row 1 blocks, right sides together, lining up the placement stitches along the edge to be joined. Use pins to secure the seam. Sew the blocks together, just barely inside the placement stitches. Remove the pins as you go. With all your individual blocks completed, lay out the tiles in the pattern shown.
