explore / dining / During these hot muggy Summer days you don’t want to eat heavy. But what do you want that won’t make you feel so sluggish? Consider going out for a sandwich with your friends. Cold or warm, a sandwich will fill you up and not make you feel bloated. Do you know where to find a great sandwich joint in the county? Well, here are some locations for you to scout out. Mind you there are many more, but this is just a start. TooJay’s Gourmet Deli (Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Jupiter, Lake Worth, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington , West Palm Beach) TooJay’s is one of the most popular venues to find a wide array of sandwich choices. Situated in many locations throughout the county, TooJay’s is a relaxing easy-going venue with a vast menu of sandwiches. Sandwiches can range from Kosher (Chopped Liver) to vegetarian (Vegetarian Reuben Ciabatta) with an emphasis on classic deli style combinations (Hot Corned Beef or Hot Pastrami). One of my favorite sandwiches is the Triple J – corned beef, roast beef, turkey, Swiss cheese, cole slaw and Russian dressing. A bit sloppy to eat but well worth it. Another favorite of mine would be the smoked ham, Brie and onion sandwich; have to love it as it is made with Virginia ham. Of course, check out the sandwich menu for its ever changing “seasonal sandwich selection”; a new sandwich to look forward to four times a year. And no sandwich would be complete without a bowl of their famous Matzo Ball soup. Their menu is rather large and will take some time to browse, so take your time and choose the right sandwich for your craving. 28 Explore Palm Beach | Welcome to our world™ Duffy’s Sports Grill (Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Jupiter, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach) Another place to find a great sandwich would be Duffy’s Sports Grill. With locations scattered throughout the county, Duffy’s can be found in almost every city. Known mostly for their wings and burgers, Duffy’s does have an assortment of sandwiches to choose from. One of my favorite sandwiches here would be the Cuban Sandwich – seasoned pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickle grilled and pressed between two slices of bread. For a spicy sandwich alternative, try their Buffalo chicken sandwich; a chicken breast tossed in wing sauce and served on a Kaiser roll. And of course, try one of their soups or spicy homemade When All You Want Is A Nice Sandwich
