POT HOLDER Recipe G. H. 148 J. Fold the binding again. Align the raw edges of the un-stiched binding with the edge of the pot holder. Starting ½" from the edge of the quilt, stitch the binding to the next corner of the quilt. I. Fold the binding over the raw edges to the back, about ⅝". Pin the fold in place just beyond the stitching line. K. First, make sure your bobbin matches your thread. Using a walking foot, carefully top stitch ⅛" from the seam edge. Remove the pins from the back as you stitch a few inches at a time. Repeat, sewing each edge and the remaining corners until you come to the end where you started the binding. Once the binding is attached to the top, your pot holder should look like this. Pin the binding to the back all the way around the pot holder, making the mitered corners neat as you go. L. When you get to where the end and beginning meet, taper off the end and continue to sew the binding together for an additional 5" to create the tab.
