SUN CATCHERS Recipe A. B. 208 To begin your project, start by hooping a piece of water soluble stabilizer. Stitch step one of the design. This is the outline stitch for the base organza. This will be the back of the sun catcher. We use black thread for all of the colors in these designs. D. Before you begin step one, be sure to wind your bobbin. This project is freestanding so your bobbin should match the thread you use for every step. C. Stitch the next step of the design. This is the tacking stitch for the back piece of organza. E. F. Stitch the next step of the design, this is the tacking stitch for the clear vinyl. Do not trim the vinyl and white organza yet. Lay your white organza piece down so that it overlaps the placement stitch by a ½" on each side. Organza is slippery, so we recommend using tape to hold it in place. You will follow the same steps with the clear vinyl. Make sure you overlap the outline stitch by at least ½" all around the design.
