Digitizing 61 The digitizing team uses state-of-the-art tools and technology to create our designs. Every design that we release is created on touch screens with unique keyboards specific to digitizing. We have found the old way is the often the best way, therefore we never use automated techniques like auto-digitizing. We individually select each stitch and place them by hand. Embroidery is an art, and I want to know where every stitch goes. We are constantly developing new ideas and techniques which requires hours of practice and trial and error to accomplish. Some techniques may take dozens of sew-outs and weeks to accomplish. Once we decide on a digitizing style or technique for the collection, the rest of the collection is created in the same manner. It’s during the digitizing process that we decide the designs sizes or variations that will be included in each collection. The next step is stitching out the designs. The digitizers work extremely hard to make sure every stitch is perfectly placed. They are basically painting the tablet screens with our hand placed stitches. You’ll notice, in the photo above, how much the digitizers zoom in to ensure that all of the designs you received are correct.
