the h mega truck k project we h have b been adapting d f for a f friend d to drive who was paralyzed last year. All the parts were ordered, the brackets made and tacked on for the hydraulic steering upgrade and hand levers in place. Dave had the time to weld it all up solid and get it back in running order. After unloading it, Dave and I took a trip down to see Mike at PT Customs. We went over course design seeing as it was the next stop on the Northeast Race Series schedule. Amazingly, I had no event to hit that weekend so I spent the day shooting guns with some local buddies and wheeling into the wee hours of the morning. Classic good times! My next big trip was also a personal one, this time I had to drive 5 hours once again to NY. I was there to drop off my daughter at JFK International Airport. Alright, alright, alright back to the racing and the off road adventure! After a quick bite to eat on the way and a quick photo op at Hooters we arrived at Stafford Springs Motor Speedway for the next leg of the series held at CT Truck Wars. Mike has that big welcoming smile and his crew is no different. We’ve teamed up on many things over the past year so I knew right off that not only was it going to be a great event but we were going to have some good times both Friday and Saturday night. Indeed, racing went as expected, the competitors are enjoying the diversity of the tracks and regions we visit. Friendships are being developed and strengthened and I thank all the participants who have been making it so 24
