After traveling 3,000 miles across the country to give it our all, the desert had won. I knew from the start that I would risk realizing this very scenario but still, it did not take away the sting of catastrophic failure. Race ops towed us back to the nearest spectator area where we returned that afternoon with the trailer and a little bit of humility to load up our new paperweight. While trick trucks passed nearby at breakneck speed, our team gathered around for a toast. We cracked open the limited edition bottle of Mint 400 moonshine whiskey that we had hoped to ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� of dust and race fuel, the stories began to pour out faster than the liquor. We soon made our way back to Vegas for the last night of our adventure where the bitter feeling of defeat quickly faded as �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� on one of the most prestigious off-road races in America where we found glory in our own right and made memories that will last a lifetime. Looking forward, both in racing and in life, we will use this experience and this failure to not only rebuild, but to improve and return another day, wiser, stronger, and faster.
