And that was how my high school career came to a quick end. Now I’ve been a trouble maker for about as long as I can remember, and I’m proud of it for the most part. I can’t stand in lines and wear a smile and have a job like most folks. For better or worse I’ve made my own way in this world, giving every teacher, parent, cop, and judge in my way a hard time. I bring quite a bit of trouble onto myself, and sometimes I can’t even justify it. When I started writing these articles, I thought it would be great to see somebody doing real things, and having really vulgar and hostile opinions, which is mostly what I about people close to me, and worse. What I think maybe I’ve learned now, is that I can somehow be a bit more positive while still being real and honest. If I can somehow inspire kids to grab a hammer and beat on a piece of steel until something cool comes out of it, then maybe at the end of my day I can be proud of what I done. That brings me to my point, I’ve read more then once in this very magazine about mega truck guys saying they don’t look up to anyone, they don’t have any heroes in this sport, and that kind of garbage. These clowns didn’t invent mega trucks, their trucks look very similar to a thousand others like it. I saw a black and white video of a guy in a model t ford with tractor tires on it barreling through some muddy, rutted up dirt road. That guy invented mega trucking, either that or Chuck Davis, either way they’re both worthy of who had a lift kit and 35s. I knew at 8 years old that lifted trucks were in my future. I stole a magazine with Dennis Anderson’s trucks in it from my high school and read it a thousand times, dreaming about the day that I could drive my cool truck down to Diggers Dungeon and show them that I exist,(guess I can check that one off my list). I sat in a Tahoe on 44s once waiting for the impound 61
