Join us for Harvest Home Weekend Festival Saturday and Sunday, October 7 & 8 Our annual Harvest Home Weekend Festival is one of the highlights of the fall season. Th e hay rides, scarecrow building, and pumpkin painting are always a hit with kids of all ages. Seasonal Make-and-take crafts will be available for children to enjoy. Keepsakes, the Brookgreen Shop, will have artisan potters and sweetgrass basketmakers along with gourmet food samplings, book signings, and more. Food & Beverages will be available for your enjoyment. In the Native Wildlife Zoo area, there will be wool-spinning demonstrations, sidewalk chalking, and the Butterfl y House will be open all day with some new butterfl ies just for the fall season. Th e festival is included in garden admission, which is good for seven consecutive days! Please note: some activities have an additional fee. Brookgreen supplies the hay, poles, string, and clothes for scarecrows (or you can bring your own clothes) at no charge. If you would like to take your scarecrow creation home with you there is a $5.00 fee. Brookgreen supplies pumpkins, paints, and brushes. If you want to take your pumpkin home, small ones are $4.00 and large pumpkins are $9.00. Hayrides are $4.00 per person and we recommend you purchase your tickets on arrival as they sell out fast! “Not So Spooky” boat rides are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Entertainment Enjoy fun songs about life on the farm and in the forest performed by Farmer Jason, Emmy Award Winning Children’s Entertainer. Parents will enjoy classic rock favorites from the 60’s – 90’s performed by Trip Rogers from Mint Hill, NC. Harvest Home Weekend Festival is 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is sponsored in part by
