A U G U S T 2 1 , 2 0 1 7 Solar Eclipse F E S T I V A L On August 21st, the Arboretum at Brookgreen was full of members and guests ready to experience the Great American Eclipse. Music by Oracle Blue, a live stream of the eclipse coverage from NASA, and yummy food and beverages all contributed to the fun and festive atmosphere of the day. One attendee posted on Brookgreen’s Facebook Page “Th e day was great! Th ank you for hosting such a great event. Th ere was plenty to see and do as we waited on the eclipse. Th e activities for children were perfect. Awesome job!” Th e next eclipse over North America will fall on April 8, 2024. It will be a partial eclipse on the Eastern Seaboard, so put on your calendar the next Solar Eclipse Festival coming up in seven years! Susan and Rob Polack checking out the eclipse.
