Several great workshops are being off ered this fall. On September 11-15, Simon Kogan teaches Developing the Sculptor’s Eye; on October 14-18, Alan LeQuire presents Working from Life, the Positive Approach to Clay Modeling; and on October 23-27 is Mold-making with Trish Smith and Sandy Scott. Rosie Sandifer is teaching Painting Outside to Inside, Color and Light, November 28-December 1. Th is plein-air painting workshop, working both outdoors and indoors, includes a ticket to the popular Nights of a Th ousand Candles holiday event (choice of November 30 or December 1). Some of you might remember him when he lived and worked in Myrtle Beach, SC several years ago. He is a direct stone carver and will be presenting demonstrations, with opportunities for you to try your hand at stone-carving, at the studio of the Campbell Center for American Sculpture on October 1, 3, and 5, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. No advance reservation is required. Th e program is free with regular admission to Brookgreen Gardens.
