Two Dedicated Employees Twice a year, Advent Christian Village recognizes staff members who have passed milestones in the length of their service to ACV. Beginning at their five-year anniversary and continuing in five-year increments, employees are honored at a luncheon co-workers and Village members are encouraged to attend in order to show their support and appreciation to the dedicated employees. When employees reach a 30-year or higher anniversary, they are recognized by President Craig Carter. Since the last issue of Village Life, two such employees were recognized: Mary Crawford in February 2017 and Reba Loston in August 2017. Mary Crawford was recognized for 40 years of service. Her first position with ACV was in the office of then President Pomeroy Carter. Later, she served as Jim Humbles’s secretary before and during his time as president of ACV. Now, she serves as Craig Carter’s executive assistant. Reba Loston has been a faithful and indispensable Village CNA for 30 years. Reba has experienced many changes at Advent Christian Village over the years, including the nursing home transition to Good Samaritan Center in the early 90s. These two hard-working and dedicated women are shining examples for the rest of ACV’s employees.
