Dear Friends,
At a recent performance, a thirtysomething
community leader told me that
we needed to do a better job of getting
the word out about how fabulous our
performances are. SFSC Performing Arts
spends thousands of dollars each season
to promote our performances through
Facebook, newspaper, radio, billboards,
direct mail, emails and various websites.
But the single most effective promotional tool is wordof
mouth; so, I need your help. Please take some brochures
to your workplace or community center and let others know
about the awesome, affordable entertainment we provide right
here in your own backyard. Bring a group from your church
or social club to a performance like Amazing Grace or Dunlap
& Pennington. Gift tickets to a show for someone’s birthday,
anniversary or retirement. Tickets to the Florida Orchestra or
Snowkus Pocus would be a delightful way to mark a special
occasion. Plan a girls’ night out to Menopause The Musical or
to see Mark Preston, former lead singer for The Lettermen.
Use Facebook, Twitter or TripAdvisor to let your friends know
about the inspiring or exciting experience you had at the Alan
Jay Wildstein Center. You know the outstanding quality and
variety of performances SFSC presents, like Grammy Award
winners Chubby Checker and Mary Wilson; wholesome family
fare like Mutts Gone Nuts and national touring productions like
The Original Stars of American Bandstand. So, please: Shout it!
Share it! Tweet it that SFSC is the No. 1 entertainment venue in
Florida’s Heartland and help us fill those empty seats.
With kindest personal regards,
Cindy Garren,
Director SFSC
