The Lost Colony
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paul Green’s The
Lost Colony recounts the exciting historical events
leading to the disappearance of the first English
colonists who settled here more than 400 years ago.

Cape Hatteras Light Station
Standing 210 feet high, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
is the tallest brick beacon in the world. Constructed
in 1870, the lighthouse is open for climbing from
mid-April to Columbus Day.
