ChildrenFirst PPEC Medical Day Care
This is not just care for the day… it’s care that lasts throughout
your child’s growth and development!
ChildrenFirst PPEC is here for you every
step of the way. Our exceptional nursing,
therapy and education programs are unique
to ChildrenFirst. Along with nursing and PT,
OT and ST, we provide a daily experience in
early childhood education, centered around
the developmental needs of your child. ChildrenFirst
is the only PPEC in the U.S. to
be accredited by the National Association
for the Education of Young Children. Let us
help your child achieve their fullest potential!
The open concept design of our centers
inspires a nurturing, interactive and collaborative,
health care environment in which
our children thrive! Your child is never
segregated into closed rooms. Our nurses,
therapists, aides and certified teachers are
assigned throughout the center to assist
your child with every need!
Who Attends ChildrenFirst PPEC?
Infants, children and teens up to 21 years old
attend our centers. We never turn down or
discharge children based on age. We provide
a wide range of clinical services, up to 12
hours daily, including oxygen management,
trach care, tube feedings, apnea monitoring,
and vent management. We also give medications,
including IVs, and monitor for seizures,
cardiac, respiratory and GI conditions. Ask
us about our before and after school and
school breaks care.
Who Pays For PPEC?
Even if your child is in a Medicaid MMA
plan such as WellCare, Sunshine, Amerigroup,
or another, straight Medicaid pays for
the nursing care received at PPEC. MMA
plans pay for therapy and transportation
provided at PPEC. Other PPECs require
your child to switch to straight Medicaid
or Children’s Medical Services to attend
their PPEC. That’s because they don’t have
contracts with your MMA plan for therapy
and transportation! ChildrenFirst accepts
Medicaid, CMS and EVERY Medicaid MMA
plan. Our parents NEVER have to change
to straight Medicaid or CMS in order to
get PPEC services with us! Why do we care
if parents are told to change plans to get
PPEC services? Because more and more
families benefit greatly from their MMA plan.
Some of the area’s leading specialty physicians
only accept MMA plans. Almost 90%
of all Medicaid families are in an MMA plan,
NOT straight Medicaid. Don’t be misled into
changing your insurance plan in order to get
PPEC services. Keep your MMA plan, keep
your specialists, keep all of your providers and
still get nursing, therapy and transportation
when you choose ChildrenFirst!
