Using a pair of appliqué scissors,
trim the excess fabric sticking out
beyond the tacking stitch.

TIP
The base fabric will look like this once
trimmed. Once you have trimmed
the base fabric go ahead and wind a
bobbin matching your top thread.
TIP
Step 3 of the design will be the zig zag
satin stitch. The rest of the design will
stitch out the remaining embroidery
steps. Make suer to follow along with the
step pages so you know exactly where
you are with the design instruction.

We prefer double curved
appliqué scissors as they trim
appliqué fabrics very well
and allow clipping around
curves and crevices.
