Conservancy, has restored the healthy longleaf
pine habitat and the cypress-lined lake. Your family
will learn how essential the Preserve’s 3,500 acres of
restored wetlands are to the proper replenishment of
our groundwater. The Preserve’s Nature Center offers
visitors free binocular rental and a Nature Treasure
Hunt Checklist sheet for kid’s to take on their
hike to explore and see what kinds of wonders and
treasures are found out in nature. They also have
displays of the variety of insects, snakes, birds, reptiles,
etc. that you’ll see at the preserve.
