More students, more
success stories
Keeping busy and
Cserving with pride Giving back to the community.
By Gary S. Hatrick
Charlie Proctor, an
entrepreneur who has
started two businesses
in Zephyrhills - Charlie’s
Auto Detail in 1990 and
Charlie’s Coins in 2011,
sits on the City Council
his way of giving back
to the community for all
of the support he has received
which has made
him successful in his business
endeavors.
After six years, Proctor
looks back on his
time serving the city with
pride. “I think I’m most
in Zephyrhills. I think
that will bring lots of revenue
to the community, it will make it a lot easier to get to the
other side of the county,” he said. And there have been numerous
achievements from balancing the budget during hard
economic times to contributing to the growth on the city’s
downtown Main Street. “We built a skatepark for the youth
and a beautiful dog park for our citizens that have dogs.” One
more source of pride is the new city hall that is on time and
under budget.
Charlie’s wife Angie, an entrepreneur, is busy with her
embroider business: Angie’s Embroidery & Handmade Jew-
ago producing beautiful handmade bead jewelry along with
monograms and custom iron-on patches. Some of her designs

Putting his life and business pursuits in a nutshell, Proctor
ticks off personal things of which he and his wife are proud
of. “At Charlie’s Auto Detail, we do complete auto detailing
inside and out. Angela and I have been married for over 20
military at 18 and has been in for eight years, and just reenlist-
US collectible coins, I’ve been a coin collector since I was six
years old. My wife was a nurse for ten years, then she started
Angie’s Embroidery which has been doing very well. We stay
very busy. I’m the kind of guy who has to be busy.”
