All In The Family
Byrd’s Leather has
long been a landmark
at the Daytona Flea &
Farmer’s Market. Their
sprawling selection of
leather goods occupies
14 booths on row
F-South. Byrd’s Leather
got their start back
in 1985 when Byrd
and Kathy Travis took over a small leather operation
from Kathy’s parents. With Byrd’s upholstery
experience and a lot of hard work, the couple
were able to build a customer service oriented
business that now spans 4
generations. Children Steven
and Becca became
part of business operations
as early as age 5,
learning leather tooling
and customer service by
example. Now, with children
of their own - they
are parents to the next
generation of leather masters.
Hand-made leather goods like custom belts, dog
collars, gun holsters and specialized cases as well
as one-of-a-kind alligator skin pieces, belt buckles,
pins, patches, hats, wallets, motorcycle gear,
jackets and purses are just a small example of
what you’ll find at Byrd’s.
“Family is important -
and we consider our
customers family” Byrd
states, “If it breaks, we
fix it for free. You’ve
got to treat people right
and offer service with a
smile.”
Stop by and experience the friendly atmosphere
at Byrd’s Leather this weekend. You might just
find your new favorite store.
