Several community members volunteered their time to
bring supplies, props, and animals to benefi t the children.
This allowed people to see how ECC’s program benefi ts
young students within the district in more ways than
one. Jodi Hazlewood, early childhood teacher, said from
experience, “It’s so important to involve families in their
child’s learning so that they can extend that learning into
the home and the activities they do as a family.” Connecting
the learning within the classroom with a hands-on
approach makes for an impactful and memorable experience
during an important time during the beginning
stages of a child’s educational experience.
