Over the years she has been honored
through news stories and awards
honoring her part in the founding of
The Thomas Promise Foundation. She
has been featured in People Magazine
and honored as a Tampa Bay Lightning
Community hero which brought with it
her choice. You can imagine which one
that was.
Brooke, now 14
and a freshman in
Pasco High School,
gets it more clearly
now. “It took a few
years for me to realize
it,” she said.
“but I feel honored
that I made a difference.”

Brooke’s future goal is to be a veterinarian,
but she believes the Thomas
Promise Foundation will be going on
for a long time to come as long as there
are students going hungry.
In 2017, The Thomas Promise Found-
dation acquired the ownership of the
former San Antonio Rattlesnake Festi-

Promise Foundation volunteers resurrected
the festival in 2017 and were able
to raise enough to provide 43,000 meals.
This year the festival activities have
been expanded and moved to the Pasco
County Fairgrounds with the hope of
raising more funds to feed nutritionally
challenged students. The festival will
take place Oct 20 and 21. Admission is
demonstrations, bounce houses, an offroad
Subaru demonstration, an arts and
crafts village and live music available
with admission. The Rattlesnake Run,
is still held in San Antonio, Fla.
