MARIETTA GONE WITH THE WIND MUSEUM:
SCARLETT ON THE SQUARE
When the movie Gone With the Wind premiered in 1939,
the world fell in love with Scarlett and Rhett. Continue that
love affair today at the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum,
which features memorabilia including costumes,
props, posters, books and Scarlett’s original bengaline
honeymoon gown.

THE ROOT HOUSE MUSEUM
One of Marietta’s oldest surviving frame houses, now a
museum, offers a glimpse of the home life of a middle
class merchant family in the 1850’s.

BRUMBY HALL & GARDENS
The first superintendent of the Georgia Military Institute,
Colonel Arnoldus V. Brumby, built this Greek revival style
house in 1851. What was once used as a Civil War hospital
is now surrounded by beautiful gardens and is used as a

OLD ZION BAPTIST CHURCH HERITAGE MUSEUM
Located at the corner of Lemon & Haynes Streets,
this Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the
history, art and culture of the black community in
Cobb County. Open Thursday, 10am-2pm or by
appointment. Admission is free but donations
are accepted.

MARIETTA FIRE MUSEUM
This museum honors the Marietta Fire Department
and houses the c.1879 Silsby Steamer as well as other
