FROM THE PRESIDENT
REV. RICHARD C. HERMES, S.J.

Dear Jesuit Alumni, Parents and Friends
The President’s Annual Report is a wonderful opportunity for
me to thank and recognize the many benefactors of Jesuit High
School for their support of the Jesuit mission. Those listed in this
publication have joined thousands of others through the years to
make it possible for Jesuit High School to develop and thrive in
Tampa since 1899.
Because of this strong support, Jesuit education continues to
make a vital and dynamic impact on the Tampa Bay area. Without
our strong Annual Fund and the generous support of our
attend Jesuit at all. During any given year, other families face un-
it impossible for them to complete their tuition payments.
The letter below illustrates the gratitude for Jesuit’s
benefactors our students on financial aid feel. It also
shows how those students demonstrate that gratitude
with their daily commitment to becoming the traditional
Jesuit “Graduate at Graduation” – open to growth, intellectually
competent, religious, loving, and committed to
doing justice.
On behalf of the whole Jesuit community, I thank you
for all you have done to help us in the past year. May God
reward your abundant generosity.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Richard C. Hermes, S.J.
Dear Fr. Hermes,
I’ d like to thank you for granting the requested financial aid
amount to my family for th e fourth (and final!) year in a row.
Witho ut thi s financial a id from Je suit, I d on’ t th ink that I wo uld
have been able to pursue many of the activities sponsored by the
school, particularly the mission trips a nd Marian Pilgrimage to
Europe. In my 3+ years at Jesuit, the generosity put forth by
you and the school has inspired me to ensure such generosity
to my fa mily would be worthwhile. I put tremendous effort into
my academics, ath letics, a nd extracurriculars, a nd by doing so I
have grown in fa ith, mind, a nd body. On behalf of my parents and
myself, I’ d like to thank you again …
Without
our strong
Annual
Fund
and the
generous
support
of our
program,
30% of our
students
would be
unable to
attend Jesuit
at all.
