Welcome Page
Welcome...
...to the ninth edition of Greater Dayton
Pet Pages. Our beautiful boy Matti is on
the cover with his favorite toy.
We are happy to report that House Bill
506 passed, which addresses the big
problem of puppy mills in Ohio (see page
47.) Also, please see page 13 and learn
about the dangers of re-homing pets on
your own.
Pet Pages began in Florida with the
mission “To bring about the betterment of
the animal community through education
and awareness.” One of the ways that
we in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas
accomplish that is to encourage everyone
to consider the “adoption option” when
increasing their pet families. There are
many wonderful shelters and rescue
organizations listed in this magazine
with loving animals looking for a “forever
home.”
All of the humane societies, shelters,
and rescues are in the front of the book,
under adoption, so it is easy for you to
are listed alphabetically on page 6, so
you can find a specific organization
or business more easily. We provide
information about healthier choices for
your pet. We encourage you to consider
Derek, Karen
Daisy & Matti
natural alternatives to lawn care, health
care, and pet food.
This publication would not have been
possible without all of the dedicated
people who helped us with appointments,
distribution, photography, printing, proofreading,
and, of course, our partners who
advertised with us. Our sincere thanks to
all of you.
If you have any comments or suggestions
about our publication, we’d love to
hear from you.
