Fredericksburg
Travel down country roads to historic private
homes and family farms. This tour encompasses
four properties located along the Washington-
Rochambeau Route in Caroline and Spotsylvania
Counties near Fredericksburg. Learn about
sustainable farming for future generations, visit
a tranquil site honoring a Civil War hero, and
tour Historic homes reflecting the charm of the
South. Exterior highlights include formal boxwood
gardens in which all the daughters of the owners’
family were married, and an eclectic sculpture
garden. Enjoy a delightful tea hosted by The
Rappahannock Valley Garden Club and “Farm to
Table” box lunches. Visitors will have access to a
horticultural display, flower demonstrations, and
Plein Air artist presentations, making for a full day
in the countryside.
