New Brand for Tourism Efforts,
Becomes Florida's Sports Coast

During the
event, Commissioner
Moore went over the
impact of tourism
in Pasco County
in 2018, including
a $615 million economic impact, 1.1
million room nights which equates to
7,500 jobs. Commissioner Moore also
highlighted the new Wiregrass Ranch
Sports Complex, currently under
construction, will be a 98,000 square foot
facility to host sports such as basketball,
cheerleading, gymnastics, wrestling, and
almost any other indoor activity.
“I am looking forward to seeing
these numbers grow in the future
as we show the world what Pasco
County does as Florida’s Sports Coast,”
Commissioner Moore said.

7th, Pasco County
unveiled a new brand
for its tourism efforts,
Florida’s Sports Coast.
Over 100 people
attended the launch
event, featuring food
from Top Shelf Sports
Lounge and a special
Sports Coast Ale from
Big Storm Brewing.
The introduction
of Florida’s Sports
Coast was held at
Tampa International
Airport to invite
travelers to experience
Marvin Green Jr. of Florida Sports Foundation,
Adam Thomas, Director of Office of Tourism and
Commissioner Mike Moore celebrate Florida’s
Sports Coast. All three spoke at the event to
launch Pasco County’s new tourism brand.
