Dearly Beloved
We are gathered here to celebrate love in ALL its forms

Welcome to Watermark’s fi fth annual Wedding
Guide! It seems like just yesterday we were fi ghting
for our rights to marry the one we love and now
here we are, a bunch of old pros at this wedding thing.
We started making a Wedding Guide five
years ago to not only celebrate marriage equality,
but also because while same-sex marriage was
now a right it was also not the end of the fight.
Just because we can marry doesn’t mean a local
baker has to make a cake for us or our favorite
wedding venues have to open their doors for
our community.
However, the businesses who are listed in
this guide and who purchased ad space in these
pages want you to know that they believe love
is love, your marriage is valid and they want to
help celebrate your special day. So be sure to
pay attention to the products and services being
advertised to you.
Now, the editorial staff has looked at ways to
take your wedding to the next level and in these
pages we have done just that.
First, we talk about your last day on the
market and weigh in on same-sex bachelor and
bachelorette parties.
We’ll have your eyes screaming “wow” and
your mouth saying “yum” next, when we examine
some incredible, not-so-traditional wedding
cakes. Then we get super green with eco-friendly
nuptials sure to make your day as happy for the
planet as it is for you.
Next, whether you’re more traditional or newaged,
we have gathered a selection of local venues
that are certain to provide the ideal setting for
your big day.
Last, we have a list of LGBTQ-owned and
LGBTQ-friendly vendors in Central Florida and
Tampa Bay. And now, by the power vested in
us, we present to you Watermark’s fifth annual
Wedding Guide.
