Vogel State Park
4 Seasons to Play
Each season brings something new —
and a new reason to visit.
pring is spectacular and mild, bursting with vivid
blooms. Sun-kissed summers are made for the water.
Fall is crisp and filled with brilliant foliage. And winters
are fireplace-cozy with just a dusting or two of snow.
Overall, we’re significantly cooler than other cities in
the Southeast (and sometimes snowier!) thanks to our
higher elevation. We’re protected from hurricanes and
tornadoes for the most part. Occasionally we’ll catch
the tail end of a tropical storm with heavy rain, or a
small funnel cloud will pop up briefly, but these events
are infrequent and rarely cause much trouble.
