the Messiah?
According to Genesis 49:10, the Messiah
would be a descendant of David——“The
scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor
the ruler’s staff from between his feet, un-
the peoples.”
Jesus is part of Judah’s genealogy, as mentioned in
“…the son of Amminadab, the son of Admin, the
son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the
son of Judah…”
“Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of
brothers” (Matthew 1:2).
