Puppies It’s Cold Outside

make a puppy’s life a little less Let’s face it, it can be chilly on
those suggest
early morning walks! I highly you consider letting your person
outfit you with a nice warm sweater or
jacket. It feels a little strange at first,
but it’s worth taking the time to get
used to. You really can stay out longer
when dressed in a nice warm jacket.

awesome choices!
Staying dry can be an issue too. I have all this nice long hair
on personally
my feet that can get wet and really cold after bouncing in cold puddles. I draw the line at doggie boots, but I
have found I warm up much faster when I
stand still and allow my feet and tummy
to be dried.
I find the afternoons the best time to
go to the dog park or play frizbee in the
back yard. It is almost always warm
enough for exercise and the sun feels really
good on your back and head. Be sure
and drink lots of water and you might
even think about eating some extra protein
during the cooler months. I have special
special winter treats just for this.
You might find this is a good time to
spring for a new warm dog bed, but I
gotta tell you, it’s worth the extra effort
to beg for a place in the big bed! I find the
pillows especially comfy!
So, buck up out there Island Pups....
Spring is on its way!
