Walk around the yard and check shrubs and
trees for winter damage and remove broken
or diseased limbs.

small area for composting your extra organic
material.
Cut back perennials and grasses and
divide if needed. Many perennials need to
be divided into smaller clumps in order to
stay healthy. Cut the dead tops of
ornamental grasses back before the new
