REVIEWS
We are always listening to the feedback of our readers. With
weekly newsletters sent out containing our feature articles, we
receive a lot of responses, comments, and personal opinions.
These were just a few of our favorite and most compelling.

Writing and other basic business skills are the part of appraisal education
most frequently lacking. I have long advocated that State appraisal
commissions and boards should allow CE for these subjects. However, few
do. One small quibble is that the rule against ending a sentence with a
preposition should be dependent upon the rest of the sentence structure.
Or, as Winston Churchill has been attributed to have said, ‘Ending a sentence
with a preposition is something up with which I will not put.’

I screen initially for illness/exposure at the subject property and state that I am not sick or have
been exposed. I require all doors to be opened to all rooms, all lights need to be turned on in all
rooms, and I state that a distance between occupants and myself is required. I wear a mask and
I keep a distance. Personally, I have felt very safe. I do what is necessary and feel I have not been
exposed. All of my appraisals have been interior since COVID-19. Hand sanitizer is used when I get
back into my car. While shaking hands at my initial greeting was the norm, all homeowners seem to
know that it is not cogent these days (and likely not again).
