KIDS & TEENS
Bria Ansara
When a young person encounters art, it sparks their imagination. When they meet real artists, and make work
themselves, it fuels a world where they can turn their ideas into reality. Our education programs revolve
around such encounters, serving kids of all ages all year long, both outdoors and online, and in our galleries,
theater and classrooms.
SCHOOLS AT THE STUDIOS
Bria Ansara, our rock star artist educator, structures
visits with exhibiting and resident artists from around
the world, with custom lesson plans for each visit, and
hands on activities to build skills and deepen understanding.

DRAMA CLUB
Whether it’s scripting new work, presenting a holiday
show, or producing outdoor children’s theater at Truman
Waterfront Park, the teens are in charge at the
Key West High School Drama Club, and The Studios is
proud to lend our resources. The inimitable Juliet Gray
provides steady vision and deep experience.

BOOKS & BOOKS SCHOOL
YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
With the help of a select group of “junior editors”
grades 6-12 from schools across Key West, the
bookstore gets expert advice from the younger set
on new authors, events and what should be on our
shelves. Youth Advisors write short reviews for book
tags posted throughout the store and help promote
book events for kids and families.
SUMMER CAMPS FOR KIDS
The summer doldrums don’t stand a chance at our
annual summer art camps, with different teachers,
different themes and different materials to explore
each week. Professional artists and educators lead
the way with innovative curricula, field trips, and
fun. Ask about our scholarships!
YOUTH ARTS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
High-achieving high school artists benefit from one-on-one mentoring by professional artists to get them
ready for college and beyond. Youth Arts Fellows also receive free access to Studios classes and events and other
pre-professional support. Made possible by Marion Stevens Fund.
