Woman’s Club of
Colts Neck Turns
Focus to Library
The Woman’s Club of Colts
Neck had a busy April.
Anita Dedalis decorated
the outside of the library with
pinwheels to raise awareness of
child abuse during Child Abuse
Prevention Month.
Fellow member Rorie Coppola
delivered a tray of cookies
to the librarians from the Woman’s
Club in honor of National
Library Week. The group was also
meeting in more than a year to
discuss fundraising events and
activities for the remainder of the
year. Any woman interested in joining the club is encouraged to do so by
calling Club President Patty Eastman at 908-692-8546.
Popular Drive-
Through Greek
Food Fest Returns
Kimisis Tis Theotokou
Greek Orthodox
Church in
Holmdel is delighted to
present a Drive-Through
Greek Food Fest for
dates in May and June.
The Holmdel church
has been sponsoring a
hugely popular Greek
Festival at its 20 Hillcrest
Rd. address for
more than 20 years and
is committed to sharing its rich Hellenic culture with the community.
An important part of the annual festival is the tempting array
of delectable culinary dishes that are traditionally feasted upon by
throngs of guests. These menu offerings will continue to be served
in a convenient way for 2021 for foodie fans!
In light of current state and county restrictions, the 2021 festival
is being offered as a Drive-Through Greek Food Fest, featuring
favorite Greek foods and expertly created Greek pastries. All baking
is done on premises using time-tested recipes.
View the menu through the Fest website at KimisisGreekFest.
square.site. Place your order one day ahead of time and drive up to
the church during pick-up hours only. The website features a description
of food items offered at past annual food festivals, including gyro,
souvlaki, moussaka and baklava. Greek pantry items such as Greek
olive oil and stuffed grape leaves are also available for purchase.
Parish priest Fr. Panagiotis Lekkas and the Kimisis community
are grateful to the many dedicated festival supporters and are looking
forward to the day when they can share Greek cuisine, arts, culture,
music, and dance both indoors and outdoors with you once again.
Until then, please participate in the Drive-Through Greek Food Fest on
May 21 and 22 from 4 to 8 pm, May 23 from 12 to 5 pm, and again on
June 11 and 12 from 4 to 8 pm and June 13 from 12 to 5 pm.
