WINNER 2017
This One’s for
the Fathers and
the Future
We made it! We have reached the halfway mark of 2021, and
signs are pointing to a summer of fun like we remember. We will
once again pack up our coolers and put on the sunscreen for a day of
fun on the water. We will eat outdoors with music setting the mood.
We will golf and garden, drive, dance and dream of all the good that
is still on the way.
June is the month of so many weddings and anniversaries. We
send our best wishes to all who are marking a special event in their
lives. And, of course, we also celebrate Father’s Day this month. This
year, in particular, being a father is one of my proudest accomplishments.
After a long winter battling back from COVID-19, my wife,
Debbie, and I had the bittersweet joy of watching our daughter
Camryn graduate from college. For all who have experienced it, you
know attending your child’s graduation is a moment of pride, re-
they begin their life journey.
Summer is here, and I believe many people will be counting
their blessings as they enjoy all the good things we have here in our
beautiful community.
To get you ready, The Journal is happy to bring you our Arts, Entertainment
and Dining Guide, with lots of great ideas for places to
eat, visit and things to do. We thank our advertisers and encourage
you to visit each one over the summer season. These great vendors
are ready to help you, and they appreciate your business.
We also thank the people who have been keeping charity alive.
They have had a hard time, and your support is so appreciated. When
-
ing illness or hunger, helping children and animals and many more
important causes, please be generous. Also be on the lookout for a
growing number of live fundraising events which are happening now.
up the grill. The staff of The Journal wishes our regular readers and
summer. Enjoy those long days and warm nights and thanks, as always,
for reading The Journal!
