FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Jesuit Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
This edition of the President’s Annual Report ref lects the
generosity and strong support of our community in a year of
historic uncertainty. Because of your support, and thanks to the
leadership of our school administration and the buy-in from our
students and parents, Jesuit was able to hold in-person classes all
year for our student body. Our students were able to participate in
athletics and extra-curricular activities with little disruption. We
held school Masses, daily convocation, club days, athletics signing
days, Mission Drive Day, and much more.
Because of the financial hardships of the lockdown, requests
from our families for financial assistance were at an all-time high
for the 2020-21 school year. We were able to meet the needs of
our families due to your loyal support. Jesuit granted nearly $3.2
million in financial assistance to 40% of the student body. Both
were record levels by a significant amount. The families who
received assistance, many for the first time ever, often expressed
their gratitude. One letter I received, direct and to the point, sums
up the feelings of many.
Dear Fr. Hermes,
thank you for providing our son, once

Thank you for making Jesuit a possibility for our son, and
others like him.
Indeed, I join these parents in thanking you and all our benefactors
through the years for making Jesuit not only a possibility but a
reality for so many good young men in the Tampa Bay area. Simply
put, your generosity changes lives.
Yours in Christ,
