Alumni in Action 1970s Robert Griscti ’72 is a partner at the Gainesville law fi rm of Salter Feiber P.A. He practices federal and state litigation, as well as professional licensing. Griscti has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and is recognized by Best Lawyers and SuperLawyers, Florida Elite, and other peer-rated organizations in his practice areas. 22 JESUIT PERSPECTIVES • WINTER 2016-17 Matt Lopez ’88 scripted an adaptation of the Chelsea Cain novel “One Kick,” a 12-episode procedural drama titled “Gone” that will launch in late 2017. “Gone,” which stars Chris Noth, is the fi rst series to come out of the innovative partnership between NBCUniversal International Studios, Germany’s RTL, and France’s TF1. Thomas Egan ’89 recently assumed the duties as Command Master Chief of Special Reconnaissance Team ONE in Coronado, Calif. Dr. Hector Vila ’75, was recently appointed to the Florida Board of Medicine by Governor Rick Scott. Hon. Ron Ficarrotta ’76 recently wrote an opinion piece that was published in the Tampa Bay Times. The chief judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Ficarrotta wrote about the lasting impact drug court programs are having on drug off enders’ lives. 1980s Joe Caballero ’86 will join Seacoast National Bank as the Tampa market executive. Gulfshore Bank, for which Caballero has served as president and CEO, was acquired by Seacoast Banking Corporation and the two entities will soon merge. Brett McGill ’87 recently was named COO of MarineMax. McGill has served as executive vice president operations at Marine Max since October 2015, after serving as vice president of west operations since May 2012. Previously, McGill served as one of the company’s regional presidents from 2006-12. McGill began his career with MarineMax at its formation in 1998 and served in several roles, including director of information services and vice president of information technology, service and parts, before moving into broader operational roles. Mike Hancock ’78 was recently named President of the Carrollwood Bar Association (CBA) for the second year in a row. Hancock leads the 14-person board of directors in running all aspects of the CBA. Hancock founded Hancock Injury Attorneys, a personal injury fi rm, in 1996. His wife of 29 years, Claire Hancock, is also a partner at Hancock Injury Attorneys. Hancock has practiced personal injury litigation for 28 years and earned several honors, including an “AV-Preeminent” rating my Martindale-Hubbell, a “Superb/10” rating on Avvo, membership in the Million Dollar Advocated Forum, named a Florida SuperLawyer for multiple years and a “Top Rated Attorney” rating in Tampa Magazine determined by vote of other attorneys. Andre Mathurin ’88 is a teacher at The Northwest School in Seattle. He previously taught at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, Calif. for 17 years. Mathurin earned a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy from Spring Hill College, and a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Notre Dame de Namur University. Eric Goins ’89 is an Atlanta-based improvisation teacher and actor with numerous television and fi lm credits, including The Originals, Army Wives, Meet The Browns, One Tree Hill, Necessary Roughness, Drop Dead Diva, and Satisfaction on television, and Ride Along, The Watch, The Family That Preys, Halloween 2, The Accountant, The Boss, The Night Before, and Dirty Grandpa on fi lm.
