EXTREMELY RARE SUPER HIGH-PERFORMANCE
1969 CHEVROLET COPO CHEVELLE 427/425 POWERED L72
This is a COPO vehicle verified by Ed Cunnen of “The COPO Connection”. It is the legendary L72 425 example that has had a recently completed show-winning
restoration. Equipment and options include the factory M-22 “Rock Crusher” 4 speed transmission, Harrison 3-core radiator and great sounding chambered dual
exhaust with RPO NC8 chambered exhaust pipes optionally available. All these COPO cars included the special heavy duty rear axle with special heat treated 4:10:1
gears and positration. According to experts, only approximately 350 COPO Chevelles were ever built. Additional features on this rare example include bucket seats,
center console, full gauges, courtesy lights, correct factory floor mats and sport wheels. The engine block was replaced at some earlier point in time; nonetheless,
it is correct in specification and equipment. The restoration and detailing were performed by Illinois’ Vic D’Agostino and the paint was applied by Tom Ipjian of
Glenview Auto Body. In confirmation of its excellence, this COPO Chevelle earned the Aces Award in the ’69 Stock Class at the 2004 Chevellabration and it was named
one of the 50 best muscle cars in the country at the Supercar Reunion #7. A partial build sheet with this COPO Chevelle’s VIN at the top right of the document and
a COPO Connection verification certificate accompanies this very rare COPO Chevelle which marks one of the all-time greats of Chevrolet big-block performance.
