1) Always, always, get a tour of the
customers to see what their dog will
see. If you are able, take your dog on
the tour with you! Remember: looking
at one pen is not seeing the facility.
2) Smells are hard to control when
working with animals. Clean smelling
air is one sign of a good kennel.
But remember this is their temporary
living quarters and there will be an occasional
smell, which does not mean
the kennel is dirty.
3) Make sure that the facility is clean
and looks nice.
4) Look for a friendly atmosphere,
good customer service, smiling faces
and people who are good with your
pet.
5) If your dog goes home bouncy
and wagging its tail…your dog had
a nice time. Your animal will tell you.
More than likely he will sleep hard
when he gets home because he
played hard.
