St. Pete offers the ideal Florida
lifestyle with year-round sunshine
and a beautiful downtown
waterfront on Tampa Bay.
It’s a picture postcard setting for a day
spent enjoying water-related recreation.

FLYING HIGH
If you’re looking for a little more
adrenaline rush, there’s kiteboarding.
St. Petersburg is not on the map as
a kiteboarding destination, but Dale
McCann, an International Kiteboarding
and owner of SA KiteSurf Adventures,
says he would love to see that happen.
“The North Sunshine Skyway recreational
rest area is the easiest place to
learn that I’ve ever taught; a fabulous
spot for beginners,” says McCann. “The
water is shallow, about waist deep and
the area is protected.” For the more
experienced, McCann says kiteboarding
off North Beach at Fort De Soto
on the Gulf of Mexico is like paradise.
