Laura’s Hemp Chocolates
Laura Freeman, founder of Laura’s Lean Beef has
turned her energies to production of various
healthy and organic Kentucky crops at her lovely
Mt. Folly Farm. This includes Kentucky Hemp and
CBD products.
Hemp has a long history in Kentucky for making
rope. Recently scientists started to study the
nutritional benefits of hemp seed and CBD oil.
In 2014 the Kentucky Department of Agriculture
approved farmers to grow hemp with an extremely
low THC level. Kentucky now leads the nation in
hemp acreage.
Ruth Hunt candies collaborated with Laura to
produce unique chocolates with organic hemp
seed and chocolates and caramels with CBD oil.
The hemp products, all with dark chocolate, offer
healthy chocolate choices and the CBD products
are professed to reduce inflammation and to
ease chronic pain. In her own life, after suffering
a debilitating horse riding accident, Laura tried
